WHAT INFORMATION DO WE GATHER AND HOW WE GATHER IT

We only ask you personal information that we truly need for tour/transfer organization purposes. After that, we store information carefully and delete it after five years. We never share your information with anyone, unless we truly need to. For example, when you book a tour with us, we need to share your personal data with our drivers. We don’t send newsletters or do any email marketing and we never sell your personal information to anyone. More importantly, we do not collect any personal information automatically (via cookies) and you can always ask us to send you the personal information we have on you or to simply delete it.

The information that we gather falls broadly into two types:

1. Information that relates directly to you (e.g. your name and contact details, communication preferences and customer history).

2. Information that does not directly identify you (e.g. how you might browse our website)

As we stated before, we do not collect any personalized data automatically (i.e. through cookies). We only collect data via contact form available on the website and emails you send us.

COLLECTING INFORMATION VIA COOKIES

We use the data you’ve sent us to prepare a personalized offer that will make your travel to Croatia one to remember. Therefore the amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of our interaction. Typically the data will be your email address, name and surname. For paying customers, this will also include payment history. 

HOW WE COMMUNICATE

We will contact you in accordance with your preferences, including by email, phone and SMS/Whatsapp/Viber text. We always seek to explain why and how we might contact you at the point you give your information to us. You are the one that grants or withholds your permission for us to contact you.

ACCESSING AND UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You have can request to see or download the data we have about you. Typically the data will be your email address, name and surname. You can also request “to be forgotten” and we will erase any personally identifiable data we have about you.

This excludes data we need for administrative or security purposes or if we are required by law to retain some of the data. If you seek to access, correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data, please contact us at info@boattoursdubrovnik.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, not to exceed one week.

PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION

We use well known providers and do our best to protect user privacy. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be entirely secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information and/or use of the website. Any information that you send is at your own risk and may be read by others. Once we have received your personal information we use strict procedures to protect the security of your personal information.

DISCLOSING YOUR INFORMATION

We do not disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone except our Cruise and Tour Operators. We may be required to disclose an individual’s personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. If we are ever to engage in any onward transfers of your data with third parties for a purpose other than which it was originally collected or subsequently authorised, we will provide you with an opt-out choice to limit the use and disclosure of your personal data.

WHAT DATA BREACH PROCEDURES WE HAVE IN PLACE

Should any event occur where customer data has been lost, stolen, or potentially compromised, we will contact you via email no later than 48 hours of becoming aware of the event. We will also report such incident to any required data protection authority. We will work closely with any customers affected to determine next steps such as any end-user notifications, needed patches, and how to avoid any similar event in the future.
